Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part 3: The Flash

"Crisis on Infinite Earths" (via Tumblr)
Welcome to night two of our Crisis on Infinite Earths discussion!

On Sunday night, the first troops were assembled as various Earths fell. Then last night, the search for paragons began, Supermen were found and Batman was uncovered.

Need a Recap?

After a throwback opening with Oracle and Huntress on Earth-203, Team Flash arrives at the Waverider. (Frost on an excited Ralph: "Ignore him. It's his first crossover.")

Paragons: Gotta catch 'em all!

Adding to Kara, Kate, Sarah, and Earth-96 Kal, the other three paragons are revealed to be J'onn (honor), Barry (love), and some guy named Ryan Choi (humanity). Ray, Iris, and Ralph find Ryan Choi, but he runs from the fight. He's rather be with his wife and baby in the end times... but then Iris gives him a pep talk.

Kara attempts to use the Book of Destiny to restore her world, which Kate steps in to oppose. Kara backs down (whew) but that would have been a fight. Meanwhile, Earth-96 Kal tries to save more people in the multiverse. Lois watches as others vanish.

The death and life of Oliver Queen, part 2

Trying to find a soul is tough business when the multiverse is ending. Constantine, Dig, and Mia travel to Earthh-666 to visit Lucifer Morningstar about getting Oliver's soul out of purgatory. With their escape ticket in hand, they go to purgatory, which is just like Purgatory.

They find Oliver. But right as they leave, Jim Corrigan, a spectre, appears. He tells Oliver that he is called to a higher purpose, so Oliver passes on returning.

Flash of two worlds

Cisco, who doesn't care for the Anti-Monitor name, becomes Vibe again to serve a purpose. He and Frost go to the entryway where Nash became Pariah upon falling for Anti-Monitor's plan. Alongside Flash, they enter to find the place between the universe and the anti-matter universe. And trapped on a treadmill powering the anti-matter canon is Earth-90 Flash, a prisoner of the Anti-Monitor.

Stop the treadmill, stop the wave. First up to try is Black Lightning, recruited by Pariah. His earth is gone, superhero daughters included. He tries, but he isn't enough. Barry figures it out, but it will cost him his life. Blah blah blah, goodbyes and feelings. Earth-90 Barry swoops in and takes his place, destroying the machine and dying (with a clip of some OG Flash). RIP.

The anti-matter waves stops; one earth survives.

The point of vanishing

Lyla/Harbinger suddenly returns, but she turns out to be controlled by The Anti-Monitor. Quickly disabling the large team that is assembled, Harbinger duels The Monitor, who is no match for Anti-Monitor powers. As the team gets up, Earth-1, the last remaining place, is eliminated.

With Waverider set to go poof in 28 seconds, Pariah sends the seven paragons to the Vanishing Point, a place some Arrowverse viewers have been before and out of the Anti-Monitor's reach. The Waverider falls, and as the last seven gather, Kal falls and becomes Lex Luthor, who used the Book of Destiny to have a seat at the table for the end of existence.

"So what do we do now?"

The final chapters are more than a month away. Yay? Nay? This episode felt much more balanced and polished than parts one and two.
