Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part 2: Batwoman

"Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part One" (via Tumblr)
Welcome to night two of our Crisis on Infinite Earths discussion!

Last night, one of the team died and billions of refugees arrived at Earth-1. Tonight, we had alternative Batman, old school Supermans, and the Lazarus Pit!

Need a Recap?

To defeat the Anti-Monitor, seven paragons are needed. Two are known: Kara, paragon of hope, and Sara, paragon of destiny. The paragons of truth (a second kryptonian who lost more than most could endure) and courage ("the bat of the future") are at least described. Like Pokemon, gotta catch 'em all!

The group also finds out Bruce Wayne is Batman -- Ray is really happy about that reveal. And because the Waverider is needed, Harbinger goes to Earth-74 to retrieve it... with the AI interface Leonard and caretaker/romance novel writer (and former Legend) Mick on board. She had beer; it was an easy deal.

Also, Lex Luther is back. Kara is LIVID.

Batman beyond

Kara and Kate travel to Earth-99 to find Bruce Wayne, the supposed paragon of courage. We meet a RIPPED Luke Fox and a Bruce Wayne who is old, bitter, sorta-paralyzed, and hopeless. He killed Superman and numerous others, losing his code years ago. He is ready to kill Kara, too, but Kate intervenes and defeats him.

Supermen for All Earths

To find the paragon of truth, Clark and Lois travel to find this kryptonian. However, plans are derailed when Lex "steals" the Book of Destiny and begins killing the Supermen. On Earth-75, we see the classic Death of Superman cover recreation. Somebody save me because on Earth-167 we meet Smallville Clark, who has given up his powers for family. On Earth-96, we find Classic-ish Superman who looks a lot like Ray and has suffered, losing friends and family in a really morbid story. Luther tries to defeat him, too, but fails, largely thanks to Lois (and Iris). Yep, he's a paragon.

The death and life of Oliver Queen

Toasts to Oliver (RIP) are brief as chatter about the Lazarus Pit soon begin, led by Barry and Mia. Constantine drops by to help them out but with so much anti-matter and vanishing earths, his "magical mojo" is on the fritz. He gets them to one on Earth-18 where Sara gives Jonah Hex a scar. Oliver's body is resurrected, but his soul proves more difficult.

Ray builds a paragon machine and finds Kate is the other mystery paragon. Surprise! (Not really.) But it's revealed Kate took some kryptonite and Harbinger meets the Anti-Monitor and asks her to join him.

This episodes didn't offer anything more than Fox for other Batwoman characters, besides Batwoman. I though the Batman story kind of faltered at the end, but Mick and AI Leonard bickering gave me so much life. Damn Sara for promising her crew no more crossovers... but we aren't even halfway yet.
