We made it to US Thanksgiving week! Only 5 weeks to go until Christmas day!
The Montreal Alouettes scored a touchdown with 11 seconds left to beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 28-24 in the Grey Cup yesterday. One of the enduring traditions of the game is the Calgary Stampeders delegation bringing their live horse mascot into a local hotel. The tradition dates back to 1948, when a Stampeders fan rode a live horse through the Royal York Hotel in downtown Toronto; the Stampeders won their first ever Grey Cup that year. (CBC)
