What's On Tonight (Monday): Mr. Mason, do you wish to make a closing statement?

Tonight's Top Pick is the belated first season finale of Perry Mason, concluding its second eight-episode run. I'm not sure why the show is considered as just now ending a season that began in 2020, but here we are. Or perhaps Futon Critic is being silly, referring to episodes 9-16 as part of the first season. Ah, well ...


While I reflect on how criteria for TV seasons just is not that rigid anymore, let's see what else is available on Monday, April 24. All times are EST.

Today, 7 a.m., NBC. "Jenna Bush Hager joins families as they welcome home the USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier, Meghan Trainor (Dear Future Mama), The Home Edit's Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin and Today Food with famed restaurateur Mario Carbone." The Drew Barrymore Show, times, lengths and stations vary. Former First Lady Michelle Obama is the guest for the whole day. In the first half hour, she plugs The Light We Carry and plays a round of "Who Knew Don't Spew." Later, she talks about her Netflix special with Oprah, which premieres Tuesday.

Sherri, times and stations vary. Sherri Shepherd's birthday bash includes Patti LaBelle, Rocco DiSpirito cooking up something special and plenty of surprises.

Dr. Phil, times and stations vary. "Missing in the Dark World of Sex Trafficking."
