8:00
The Neighborhood (CBS): Rerun from March finds Cedric becoming the new youth basketball coach and recruits Grover to the team, however Grover's mom Gemma has some reservations about Cedric's coaching style. (Don't worry, they work it out by the end of the episode because sitcoms!)
The Titan Games (NBC): Central Regional Finals. (I'm not entirely sure what that means either, its only the 3rd week this thing has been back!)
The Bachelor--Greatest Season Ever (ABC): Reliving the moments of Sean Lowe's season of being The Bachelor. (So its a glorified clip show??? Jeez, I know ABC was desperate to have new Bachelor related content this summer, but this somehow seems worse than just rerunning a season)
9-1-1 (FOX): Rerun!
Whose Line? (The CW): Rerun from this past March of Amber Riley (Hey look a new rerun!!!)
Antiques Roadshow (PBS): NEW tonight however is this show which is showcasing items from Miwaukee tonight including a first edition of Little Women (ooh!) dating from 1869; a Samuel Prince desk and bookcase from 1775; and a child sun sled circa 1880. (nods) Antiques!!!
Guy's Grocery Games (Food):
30 For 30 (ESPN 2): "Be Water" which is the story of the last several years in the life of Bruce Lee as he starts to ascend in popularity in pop culture and whose philosophy starts to get taught as well.
Summer of Dreams (Hallmark): A fading pop star finds inspiration when she begins teaching music to a group of children. Starring Debbie Gibson (!!!!!) and Robert Gant.
8:30
Bob Hearts Abishola (CBS): :"Square Hamburger, Round Buns" (I'm digging these episode titles!) After Abishola abruptly calls off her burgeoning courtship with Bob, her Auntie Olu tries to fix her up with a Nigerian pharmacist while Bob to his eternal regret tries his hand at online dating. (He ends with with Missi Pyle in a memorably guest turn whose quite not at all what Bob is looking for in a relationship)
9:00
All Rise (CBS): Judge Lola mist preside over a celebrity murder trial and finds herself having to duck papparazzi in addition to having to contend with the usual media circus that treks into her courtroom to cover the trial. (This was a rerun from early November so CBS is apparently going back to reruns from earlier in the season here)
The Wall (NBC): Michael a limo driver, and Jahmar a high school guidance councilor take on "The Wall" (All In All You're Just Another Brick In the NBC Summer Schedule???)
9-1-1 Lone Star (FOX): Rerun!
Roswell New Mexico (The CW): The town prepares for Crash con while Liz and Max attempt to find out who is behind a potentially deadly plan targeting the festival; Maria and Isobel take drastic measures; while Michael must do someone else's bidding. (Mysterious that last plot point is!)
The Talk (PBS): Not to be confused with the weekday CBS talk show of the same name---this is a two hour PBS special about African American and Hispanic families talking about having to have the talk about what to do when the police pull you over with their young kids. (PBS educating well meaning white people since the early 1960's!)
Barkskins (Nat Geo): Top Pick of the night is this drama set in the age of the pilgrims and "The New World" and tonight "Mathilde encourages Bouchard to re-establish his authority; Trepegry solicits for help on a dangerous mission; Delphine's sale changes course." (The episode is titled "Buttermilk" and you know for a Top Pick this plotline isn't so bad!)
Buried Worlds with Don Wildman (Travel): New series premieres with him going on a vampire hint in Bulgaria, searching for demonic spirits in a modern cave in Hungary; and visiting a sub-terrain prison that apparently once held Vlad the Impaler. (you know the inspiration for Dracula)
Big Time Bake (Food): New series premieres with 4 bakers being given 6 hours to prepare a list of pastries. (So its kind of a "Beat the Clock" type show)
Gomer Pyle (MeTV): Carter's adopted daughter plans to marry a Marine and for some reason Carter ends up thinking that said Marine is Gomer which makes no sense but shenanigans. (PYLE??? SHAZAM SGT FATHER IN LAW!)
9:30
Green Acres (MeTV): A female agricultural student observes farm life for a thesis paper. (This is a plotline???)
10:00
Bull (CBS): Episode to be determined! (Oh I Love That One!)
Songland (NBC): Ben Platt joins the judges panel on this "Shark Tank" but with musicians and songwriters instead of inventors show.
American Dad (TBS):
Creepshow (AMC): A doctor discovers a solution for weight loss; Rose believes that she has stumbled upon the legendary monster of Lake Champlain, but the real monster is apparently still out there. (Is the real monster man? The real monster is always man!)
Bearskins (Nat Geo): In the 2nd of tonight's back to back episodes we got "Gabriel's fate is hanging in the balance while Crook's loyalty is tested"
Pawn Stars (History): An autographed Apollo 10 book; Joey Fatone gets called in to authenticate an N'SYNC set of figurines; and there's a set of Bob Hope golf clubs (I'm guessing Joey Fatone isn't asked to authenticate that item); and a trove of circus sideshow banners gets dropped off at the store.
(Nods)
Cops (Paramount): In what has to be the worst possible time in history to be season premiering, this show has its 33rd season premiere tonight--which is quite mind boggling. (Thirty Three Seasons?!?!?!? Really??? I know its been on for like the majority of my life at this point, but 33 years??? You're telling me it was airing episodes before even The Simpsons was???)
Anyways tonight we have a skittish driver's decision which results in a trip to the hospital; a young man in a car chase tries to explain that they were trying to escape an imminent threat; an innocent woman struggles with the decision to press charges against her friend. (The episode is titled "Stolen Guns and Firearms" And They Have Episode Titles Now?!?!?!?) (Oh right I almost forgot "COPS IS FILMED IN FRONT OF A LIVE STUDIO AUDIENCE")
Duff Takes The Cake (Food): New Series premiering tonight has the chef having to creake a Jurassic World themed cake. (sure why not?)
Beyond the Unknown (Travel): A Texas woman's encounter with UFO's; the death of a princess; and sightings of a strange half man, half rabbit creature. (That's an Escrilax right?) (Excrilax?) (I don't know how you spell it)
THAT'S ALL I GOT FOR TONIGHT. HOPEFULLY YOU WILL HAVE A BETTER THAN AVERAGE MONDAY AND UHH WELCOME TO THE WORKWEEK???? (STECHEL OUT!)
