What's On Tonight (Tuesday): The Voice Loudly Proclaims A Winner For All To Hear Once And For All

Once again not much on tonight unless you're a fan of CBS, Singing, or Christmas (I guess that may actually be everyone) This is What's On for Tuesday December 17th 2019

8:00

NCIS (CBS): Gibbs and the rest of the team assist Ziva who returns to accomplish the one thing she said she would need to care of before returning to her family once and for all. (That thing? Finding a "Tickle Me Elmo" doll for her daughter because this show totally takes place in 1996)

The Voice (NBC): Countdown to the Finale. (Yes they're doing a "countdown" show before the event itself!)

The Resident (FOX): On Devon's last day as an intern, he and Conrad are faced with a moral dilemma over a suicidal patient who is i need of a liver transplant; Bell discovers that Cain is keeping a brain dead patient alive in order to boost his survival rates, and that apparently this isn't the first time he's done that sort of thing. (Morris Chestnut plays Cain and while its hard for me to believe him as someone who's not a good guy,---I just wanna trust him so much!!!--- I guess that's why they call it acting!)

A Charlie Brown Christmas (ABC): Some block-head tries to learn the real meaning of Christmas or something, but his friends' constant need to dance keep distracting him from doing so!

Dogs Of the Year (The CW): Hour long special about actual dogs who rose far and above the term "man's best friend" this past year (and not as I was hoping--disappointing things in entertainment this year!)

The Ornament Of The World (PBS): Recalling an 800 year period in medieval Spain when Muslims, Christians, and Jews co-existed in a manner  that led to the creation of great works of art, lit, architecture, and music. (Merry Christmas PBS!!!)

Rediscovering Christmas (Lifetime): A talented designer helps her sister with the Snowflake Festival dance contest. (Wait are you sure its not "a talented dancer" there Matthew? OK i googled it and its about a window display designer living in Boston who comes home to her small town and helps her sister who is also a window display designer design scenery for the small town Christmas dance competition, which makes even less sense than i thought) (shrugs) Starring Jessica Lowndes, Jessica Walter, and David Naughton

Welcome To Christmas (Hallmark): A real estate developer finds romance with a charming sheiff in a small town. (Finally a premise that makes total sense! Nice, simple, easy to summarize!) Starring Jennifer Finnigan, and Eric Mabius. (ooh both tv show vets!)

9:00

FBI (CBS): A former kidnapping victim is linked to a series of murders that include the daughter of an NYPD detective; Kristen begins to doubt her ability as an agent after a training exercise leaves her shaken (but not stirred)  (Merry Christmas FBI)

The Voice (NBC): Smoke from the rooftops all across America will be seen this evening as a new Voice winner is declared in this Live Two Hour Finale Event!  (Who's Got The Voice??? Well previous winners have included Gilbert Gottfried as well as Bobcat Goldthwait so its not always about who sounds the best but the most distinct!)

Empire (FOX): Cookie is frustrated with Luscious who is struggling to accept that their relationship is kaput; Upon being shut out of the ASA nominations, the women of Bossy choose Melody to take their performance slot (I dunno what that means either honestly): and Teri confronts Andre over his lies. (Lies, lies, lies, liiiiiiies....lies, lies, lies, liiiiies....TO THE EMPIRE!!!!)

Olaf's Frozen Adventure (ABC): This thing is airing again?!?!? (Dear Mr. TV Viewers, I have taken control of ABC's airwaves for this half hour. Sincerely, The Snowman)

Arrow (The CW): Rerun of the time Oliver and company went to Hong Kong to find a guy who might give them info about The Monitor's intentions (which seems kinda dated now that Crisis on Infinite Earths aired last week.)

The Purge (USA): Season Finale of this 2nd season finds Purge Night raging on while Esme, Ryan, Marcus, and Ben all fight for their lives. (nods) (I guess i could binge watch em all at one point the way i did the first season, as they'll all be on demand for at least another month)

Well Groomed (HBO): The visually stunning and sometimes humorous world of dog groomers in this new doc premiering tonight. (What is it with dogs and tv tonight?!?!?!?)

Curse of Oak Island (History): The team unearths a new wooden structure under the seabed at Smith's Cove; a fresh lead may bring Rick close to the 90 ft. store in "Things That Go Bump Out" (90 ft store??? That can't be right can it?)

Chopped (Food): New Year's Party finds chefs trying to prepare dishes for New Years. (My New Years' Parties never have food, its always booze, but never food! I should fix that!)

Life Below Zero (Nat Geo): Alaskans work together to gather newly available resources with spring now underway. (Man are they running this at the wrong time of year!)

Moonshiners (Discovery): Mark and Digger attend their first backwoods miracle turning a wedding cake into moonshine (hmmm!): Tickle seeks cover when aerial surveillance threatens to have him re-arrested; Appalachia's most accident prone shiner operates heavy machinery. (Gomer Pyle?!?!?!?)

9:30

Shrek the Halls (ABC): The jolly green giant (no the other one!) tries to get into the festive spirit.

Green Acres (MeTV): Eb runs away when he feels ignored and displaced by a temporary house guest. (Eb--its temporary!!! It says so right in the synopsis!)

10:00

NCIS-New Orleans (CBS): Pride is cut off from the team and backed into a corner after the investigations into murderer Eddie Barrett uncovers a malicious plot. (Cut off from the team AND backed into a corner??? Ohh you don't wanna see what happens when Scott Bakula is backed into a corner--he's liable to do anything!!!) (CBS CBS CBS)

The Conners (ABC): Rerun of last week's Christmas ep where Dan is disappointed that everybody but Becky seems to have forgotten his birthday.

Great Museums--The Art of Islam at the Met and Lourve (PBS): Highlighting selected works of art from the Islamic world that are on exhibit at the Met and the Lourve. (nods)

Treadstone (USA): HELEN T---YOU'RE SHOW IS ENDING TONIGHT!!!! That's right its the season finale of this show set in the world of The Borne Identity movies which has as its synopsis "Bentley makes a choice; Tara takes action; Edwards runs into complications; and Soyun cuts himself a deal" The episode is titled "The Circada Covenant"  (God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen...Let Nothing You Dismay...Remember Jason Borne Was Born From Treadstone's Way)

Kings of Pain (History): Adam and Caveman Rob  journey to the Asian Island of Bali and face off with the Fire Urchin that almost knocks out Caveman Rob and then face off against the Rove Beetle which threatens to cause permanent damage to one of the guys. (The Karl Rove Beetle???)

Famously Afraid (Travel): Once again my favorite weekly show to summarize this week finds Jason Gedrick making a terrifying discovery in an apt with a violent past; Jillian Rose Reed investigating a ghost in her family's basement; and Breaking Bad's RJ Mitte encountering a powerful spirit in his grandparent's home. (Hey these are actual actors and not just D listers trying to make a quick buck!)

Running Wild with Bear Grylls (Nat Geo): Channing Tatum In The Mountains of Norway. (That's different!)

Chopped (Food): Another episode finds contestants asked to make meals out of ingredients bought on the cheap.

10:30

Bless This Mess (ABC): Rerun of the season premiere

The Misery Index (TBS): Finally tonight we have this season finale with "Learning which books one never wants to hear at bedtime, the most miserable way to get stuck cheating, a flasher and a scorned fiance compete to see who gets to the final round and a chance at the 30, ooo dollar grand prize. The episode is called They Made Me Do It!

HAVE A GOOD TUESDAY!!!!!
