What's On Tonight (Sunday): So many Top Pick options tonight make for a... Crisis

Supergirl, "Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part One" (via Giphy)
Happy Top Pick crisis! The Madam Secretary series finale. The Silicon Valley series finale. The Mrs. Fletcher series finale. AFHV celebrates 30 years. The L Word returns. The Work in Progress series premiere. Danica McKellar in a Hallmark movie. The dozen other top-contending shows I still haven't highlighted... Whew, selecting the Top Pick was a crisis. At that point, I knew what it needed to be. If any of you have the technology, you can travel to Earths-3, 6, 12, 33, 53, 221, and 898 to see any of the previously-named programs as a Top Pick. (Don't check out WOT on Earth-62.) On this Earth, I highlight Supergirl with it kicking off Arrowverse's five-part event crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths. I'm jazzed for it. And this is the only time Crisis crosses paths with my WOTs. Elsewhere, as mentioned, other stuff worth noting is happening, too. Not yet mentioned, another Bigfoot search begins, Miss Universe will be crowned, a Hetty Feather Christmas special, the Watchmen penultimate, and The Rookie fall finale. Whew. Let's dare to defy, here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, December 8!

EARLY PRIMETIME

2019 Miss Universe (Fox, 7 p.m.): Steve Harvey hosts. Will he get it right this year?

60 Minutes (CBS, 7:30 p.m.): Profile of geneticist George Church, Palestinian businessman Bashar Masri's efforts to build a city in the West Bank of Israel, and actor Adam Sandler will all be seen tonight.

πŸ•— EASTERN / πŸ•– CENTRAL

America, This Is You! (ABC, 8 p.m.): SPECIAL. For 30 years, Americans have been chuckling at this silly show with clips that are quite forgettable. THIRTY YEARS.✔️

The Monitor sends Harbinger to gather the worlds' greatest heroes — Supergirl, The Flash, Green Arrow, Batwoman, White Canary, The Atom and Superman — in preparation for the impending Crisis. Lena must find a way to save the people of Earth-38. While the serial continues for the next couple days, this crisis is so big, it won't finish in this decade. The Legends are involved and even Black Lightning gets in on the action at some point, as do characters from Birds of Prey and Smallville. After rereading OG Crisis on Infinite Earths last month, I hope this work isn't so dense and scholarly with minutiae.✔️
