Hey Everybody, Here is what's on for November 14th 2019
8:00
Young Sheldon (CBS): Sheldon stars an internet flame war (in 1991?!?!?!?); Missy stands up to the boys on her baseball team; Meemaw is unhappy when George Sr. spends time with her new boyfriend Craig T. Nelson. (No Craig T Nelson is not playing himself, although even on a sitcom how you can go from Wallace Shawn to Craig T Nelson is kinda baffling to me but hey at least they're both name brand!)
Superstore (NBC): Amy and Jonah help Mateo run a toy drive to make him look good for his immigration hearing, but they clash with a competing charity rep; Sandra and Jerry ask Glenn to officiate their wedding despite Dina's protests for some reason; Cleyenne gets real with Garrett. (Is Glenn ordained??? Was this something that already happened on the show??? I feel like maybe it did???)
Grey's Anatomy (ABC): Meredith faces the medical board as her future as a doctor remains uncertain; Meredith is forced to reckon with her past in some challenging ways; the interns are put to the test. (Aren't they always put to the test tho? And also isn't Meredith pretty much always reckoning with her past like pretty much every other episode as well??? Ok maybe not every other episode, but her past does play a pretty big part on the show as a whole...I'm just saying)
Thursday Night Football (FOX): Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns
Supernatural (The CW): Sam and Dean's routine case turns out to be anything but in "Proverbs 17:3" (Speaking of things that happen more or less in every other episode of a long running tv show....anyone have any idea what the biblical passage being highlighted refers to here btw???)
The Christmas Contract (Lifetime): A newly single woman dreads returning home for Christmas knowing she'll run into her former boyfriend. Starring Hillarie Burton. (Does she dread running into her former boyfriend for a particular reason??? Is he like some sort of creature like say some half man half mosquito??? Or is he just really annoying to her???
Picture Perfect Christmas (Hallmark): A photographer returns home to take care of her grandma and gets involved in helping a neighbor look after his young nephew. (Finally a movie premise I can relate to!--The nephew part not the looking after your grandma part)
8:30
The Unicorn (CBS): When Wade goes out of town for the day, he panics at the realization that he is the sole caretaker of his children; Delia picks up the girls from school for work but is thrown for a loop when Grace tells a clever lie to hang out with her friends. (I wonder what the clever lie is)
Perfect Harmony (NBC): Reverend Jax asks Arthur to watch the church for him, as parishioners come to him with their problems, Arthur believes he can best help them with reason rather than with the ways of the church; Jax also asks Wayne to pick up Adams from the hospital. (Reason rather than the ways of the church?!?!?? That's not gonna end well is it)
American Masters (PBS): The Life and Times of Sammy Daivs Jr---in a rerun from last February--its worth watching if you missed it last winter!
9:00
Mom (CBS): Bonnie and Adam go out on a double date with Jill and Andy; Tammy recruits Christy to mediate a sensitive situation with Marjorie. (The episode is titled "Pork Butt and A Mall Walker")
The Good Place (NBC): The group awaits the judge's final decision on the fate of human existence in "The Funeral To End All Funerals" (Hmm sounds pleasant!)
A Million Little Things (ABC): A fellowship opportunity for Maggie forces Gary to reconsider his own future; the group suffers a devastating loss. (Uh-Oh--that's never good)
Legacies (The CW): As the school prepares for its upcoming dance, Hope and Lizzie find themselves trapped inside a never ending labyrinth with a monster chasing after them; Josie and Landon decide whether or not to take their relationship to the next level. (Are there ever not monsters chasing after Hope and Lizzie??? I've never seen the show so this is an actual question!)
Thanksgiving Pie Fight (Food): Self-explanatory! (Thanksgiving, Pie, Fight--the synopsis writes itself!)
The Preppy Murder--Death In Central Park (AMC): The 5 part true crime mini-series re-examining the infamous serial killer and his subsequent trial continues apace tonight with parts 3 and 4. (I remember they made a TV movie about this with a Baldwin brother, Laura Flynn Boyle, and i wanna say Christopher Walken but now i'm not sure--he doesn't do TV very often, tho he did do that live version of Peter Pan a couple years back as well as an episode of PBS's Mystery also a couple of years back that starred Bill Nighy and had Walken as a suspect.)
Naked and Afraid (Discovery):
9:30
Carol's Second Act (CBS): When the other interns begin to feel the strain of being first year residents; Carol tries to help with lessons learned from years as a working mom, but soon she realizes that she may have stretched herself too thin; Jenny and Dr. Frost face off for some reason. (I like that the synopsis doesn't say why they're facing off just that they face off--also did you know that Carol is a mom??? That's not something the show has pointed out 3 or 400 times already--did you know her daughter frequently works in the hospital too?!?!?!? What a crazy coincidence!!!! Ohh Carol!!!!)
Will and Grace (NBC): The titular duo get competitive over whose process of having a baby is more difficult; (wait they're both having kids this season?!?!?!? That's, how did that happen?!?!?!?); Jack helps Karen prove that she'll be a competent owner of her new baseball team, but Karen realizes that an old acquaintance may be the help whom she really needs. (Is it Barack Obama??? God that'd be something if Will and Grace could pull off an Obama cameo before its end! I don't even know why i went to Obama but heck why not??? This show was always big on pulling in big time guest stars back in its heyday as you all well know!)
Green Acres (MeTV): Problems caused by unpaved roads force Lisa and Oliver to lodge a complaint with the state. (A complaint that i'm sure will be heard and taken care of right away because that's the way the government works right? Expediently and Efficiently yes?? Its Not?!?!?!?)
10:00
Evil (CBS): When Bridget confesses to a murder during her exorcism (?!?!?!?), Monsignor Korecki asks the trio (you know the three main characters!!!) to investigate if the details match any open homicide cases and if the woman really was possessed by a demon in the first place. (nods---CBS? CBS? CBS?)
Law and Order Special Victims Unit (NBC): Rollins goes under cover to find a suspect who is drugging and assaulting tourists; while Benson helps the victims sort out their memories from their hallucinations. (The episode is titled "We Dream of Machine Elves") (Also sort out their memories from their hallucinations??? This almost makes it sounds like it could be a crossover with Evil--i mean they both film in NYC)
How To Get Away With Murder (ABC): Bonnie's world is turned upside down when a mysterious accident leads her to a hard realization; The students compete for a large cash bonus during the final exam, where they must come up with the best defense for a conspiracy to commit murder charge. (Well if typing up the synopsis of one of the last two shows have shown me anything its that apparently you can't beat a good old claim of being possessed by a demon that you are in the process of trying to get exorcised...)
Mr. In-Between (FX): Enemies may come and go as do friends in an episode titled "Nice Face" (Hey you there? Nice Face!!! You're welcome!)
The Carbonaro Effect (Tru TV): While working at a pool store, Michael flies on a kickboard and shows the culinary uses of a pool noodle; Then later at a pet store he breeds hamsters from pellets; Michael stuns his helpers as moving day meets up with a fiery statue. (I don't know what that last sentence means either)
Beat Bobby Flay (Food): Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli and Jay Pharoah (SNL! SNL! SNL!) team up and then Jason Bissell and Tirzah Love face off against one another. (Does the winner of that match than take on Bobby???)
Holzer Files (Travel): A mysterious castle in Paterson NJ, a woman's mysterious recurring nightmares may have a supernatural source in the dwelling's dark history. (A supernatural source eyy???)
Hogan's Heroes (MeTV): This show actually cycles back around to its very first episode tonight! (Huzzah!!!) See how Hogan got his start!!!! (Actually i feel like the show starts with him already a prisoner of war sooo nevermind that then)
THURSDAY! THURSDAY! THURSDAY! HOPEFULLY IT WON"T BE AS COLD! COLD! COLD! (CAUSE ITS BEEN FREEZING! FREEZING! FREEZING!) (SIGH)
