What's On Tonight (Monday): All Rise Finds Itself Beset By Multiple Key Witnesses (Ay-Yi-Yi)

Yo y'all. This is What's On for November 18th 2019--

8:00

The Neighborhood (CBS): Cedric and Dave team up for a chance at bowling championship glory; Gemma and Tina face off against each other for the top ranking in an arcade game. (I was wondering when the show would do a bowling episode since its a very well worn sitcom trope--and this sitcom definitely has the common sitcom tropes thing down--which i actually kinda like as it hews to classic sitcom tradition. Lets see you do a bowling trophy episode The Good Place) (Actually i'd of loved to see them do a bowling episode)

The Voice (NBC): The Top 13 Perform Live (Enter Your Votes Now America!!!) (Wait does America vote on this show???)

9-1-1- (FOX): Sadly its a rerun episode tonight. (A rerun episode in the middle of November???)

Dancing With the Stars (ABC): The celebs reprise a style of dance they struggled with earlier in the season, then they perform a style they each havn't done before. (Did they ever dance the hucklebuck? Ed Norton could show them all how!!!!)

All American (The CW): An exhibition rematch of the Beverly Hills Eagles Vs South Crenshaw creates tension for the players, especially when Darrell proposes a bet that Spencer can't refuse; Jordan realizes that he needs help and turns to Billy and Laura for support.

Antiques Roadshow (PBS): A rerun from May of '17 finds them traveling to Orlando and seeing a 1946 signed photo of Albert Einstein; Agassiz pendant watch from 1905; a Chinese gold splash bronze vase from 1850. (Sometimes i feel like they're just making up objects as they go along--"and here we have a wristwatch worn by Spencer Tracey in 1938 on the set of Boys Town")

Monday Night Football (ESPN): Kansas City Chiefs Vs LA Chargers

Pride and Prejudice and Mistletoe (Hallmark): Darcy returns to her hometown for Christmas where she reconnects with Luke, a former rival. Starring Lacey Chabert! (This is clearly a Pride and Prejudice and Zombies rip-off--but somehow with Christmas in place of the zombies, which why? are Zombies not Christmas-y enough for Hallmark Channel???)

8:30

Bob Hearts Abishola (CBS): With Abishola helping out, Bob and his two siblings--Douglas and Christina struggle with how to take care of Dottie post stroke when Abishola is not around. (Well how did you take care of her before???)

9:00

All Rise (CBS): Lola and Emily find themselves on opposing sides when the key witness in a murder trial is the victim's 11 year old daughter. (Bum bum bummm) Meanwhile when a different key witness on another trial ends up in jail, Luke must accompany Mark on a road trip to go retrieve said witness. (It's Key Witnesses All The Way Down Maaannnn!!!)

Prodigal Son (FOX): Rerun of the show's 2nd episode. (A rerun episode in the middle of November?)

Black Lightning (The CW): Jefferson is torn between his loyalty to his family and his commitment to saving Freeland; Anissa's commitment to Grace deepens; and Jennifer makes an interesting discovery. (The episode marks a new chapter as it is titled "The Book of Resistance: Chapter One")  (Also what do you think the new discovery is??? I'm gonna go with those roller skates that had goldfish living in the bottom of them--its retro--the goldfish can be a superhero too!!!!)

American Masters (PBS): "N. Scott Momaday--Words From A Bear" The mysterious life and mind of Pulitzer Prize winning author and poet and a formative voice of the native American Renaissance in art and literature.(This runs until 10:30)

His Dark Materials (HBO): Following the kidnapping, Ayra falls in with a new group but struggles to know whom to trust. (Hmmm, Trust was a very good Elvis Costello album, maybe there's a clue somewhere in there you can use to help you figure this out???)

Lost Cities with Albert Lin (Nat Geo): "Inca Island in the Sky" Traveling to the Peruvian mountains to discover the origins of Machu Picchu, Albert finds evidence of people who came before the Incas and reveals that the Inca city may have been inspired by another even older civilization. (That older civilization??? You guessed it--Frank Stallone!!!!) (Frank Stallone Is Not An Ancient Civilization Matthew!!!) (You don't know he's not!!!!)

Hometown Horror (Travel): The Pig-Man gets profiled as the team on this show goes to visit upstate NY to investigate the recent sightings. (THE PIG MAN JERRY--THE PIG MAN!!!!)

Holiday Baking Championship (Food):

9:30

Green Acres (MeTV): Oliver's barn is transformed into a new center for the town's youth. (Ohh the youth---how we hate 'em, how we hate 'em...Ohh the youth---how we hate 'em, how we hate 'em---that's from an old musical right??? I didn't just make that up)

10:00

Bull (CBS): Bull must come to the defense of an old college friend who is charged with negligent homicide after his youngest child kills his oldest child with a handgun. (Yikes, I do like how the show is going back to the "Bull must represent never before mentioned friend X" as a plotline tho I was hoping the show would get even more baroque with it like "Bull must represent his plumber's son's ex fiancee" or "Bull must represent his deli counterman's brother in law" "Bull must represent the Pope of Greenwich Village"--you know what i'm gonna stop here)

Bluff City Law (NBC): Elijah and Sidney help a Catholic teacher who is fired by her school for undergoing IVF treatment; Anthony gets involved with Briana's nephew when he is prohibited from competing in the high school wrestling team.  (For a second i was like why does a lawyer at Bluff City Law wanna compete on a high school wrestling team, and then i realized it was Briana's nephew and not the lawyer who wanted to compete)(Bluff City Law must represent his friend's nephew against a high school wrestling team...)

The Good Doctor (ABC): Carly's attempts at increasing her intimacy with Shaun are becoming more of a frustration than either of them expected; Doctors Lim and Melendez struggle in their relationship as they work to separate their work from their personal life.  (Carly is Astrid from Fringe and she is totally hot for the title doctor, which is totally something that could make others jealous if others didn't know what the deal was with our good doctor) (And by others do you mean you Matthew??? Noooo...Maybe...She's cute ok????)

Pawn Stars (History): Corey and Chum visit a classic car showroom to see a series 1 Shelby; A senior arrives with a classic Nintendo video game; Chum gets his hands on an autographed Olympic snowboard; A military vet brings in a pair of WW2 binoculars.  (So Pawn Stars is basically Antiques Roadshow just under a different name and without the PBS veneer of respectability isn't it?)

Christmas Cookie Challenge (Food): Pretty self explanatory here.

10:30

Independent Lens (PBS): "Conscience Point"  Members of the Sinnecock Indian Nation; farmers and fishing communities push for an end to development in Long Island's Hamptons hoping to preserve the environment for future generations of Shinnecocks. (This runs until midnight btw)

HAVE A GOOD MONDAY--I KNOW ITS THE START OF THE WORKWEEK--BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE---ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN????? (HOW IS THAT THE BRIGHT SIDE??? WELL ANYTHING GOOD COULD HAPPEN---YOU KNOW WHAT I"M GONNA BAIL ON THIS HERE BEFORE I DIG MYSELF TOO MUCH DEEPER--PEACE OUT!!!)
