Based on the popular book, this British import stars Jessica Reynolds and Brenda Blethyn as Emma Harte, who rises from a penniless maid to powerful business mogul 60 years later. The key events revolve around her being betrayed by her aristocratic lover, and her vow of revenge on the family shapes her rise in business. Then the elder Emma must deal with a betrayal within her own family. This sounds like my cup of tea.
