Jeopardy! recap for Fri., Jun. 5

 Here are today's contestants:

DD2 - $1,200 - WORLD CITIES - This Middle Eastern city, alphabetically first in national capitals, was once a pearl-fishing port (With $400, Peter lost $2,000.)


DD3 - $2,000 - COINING SOME WORDS - On a 1995 German coin, this man's name appears above a big "X" & 2 images of a hand, one showing just the bone (At $3,600, Seth still had enough to get back into the game vs. Peter at $17,800, but wagered just $2,000 and missed.)


Seth found all three DDs and missed them all, while Jackie couldn't quite prevent a runaway for Peter,,who entered FJ at $23,000 vs. $9,600 for Jackie and $4,400 for Seth.

Eveyone was incorrect on FJ. Peter dropped $3,799 to win with $19,201 for a five-day total of $116,198.


Final scores: Peter $19,201, Jackie $9,000, Seth $4,353.


Clue selection strategy: In the first round, two top-row clues, including an entire category about recent TV, were selected with the DD still on the board. Then in DJ, after DD2 was taken with the first pick, the next two selections were from the same category.
