No essay today, but it's worth mentioning that March 30, 1970, was when Lauren Bacall opened on Broadway in Applause, the All About Eve musical. She won the Tony over Katharine Hepburn in Coco.
In the spirit of how delightfully insane Lauren looks here, I wish we could have had a Michigan-Michigan State grand finale for NCAA basketball. A, NOBODY would be on the road when it happened. B, can you imagine how many deliveries I'd have to make, and how much I'd get from tips?
