Has anyone ever completed step 9? First of all, AA demands that you drop everyone you know who drinks or who was part of your life while you were drinking. Guess what? That includes all of the people who you need to make amends to. You piss them off, you cut them out of their life. They are probably grateful. Now you come back claiming to be better. They don't want to see you. They don't want to hear you. You can't change what happened. Don't even think about trying to get them to join the cult.
Step 9: Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
