What's On Tonight (Monday): Good Morning What's On Tonight

Today's Top Pick is Good Morning America, celebrating its 50th anniversary on ABC. One of the many, many things I'd like to do a Thoughts On post about is the hour of footage from an early GMA episode, cohosted by David Hartman (who's still alive at age 90) and Nancy Dussault (who's 89). It cannot be overstated how revolutionary the idea of a casual national morning show was, especially compared to Today and The CBS Morning News, which were basically like extended newscasts up until the mid-'80s.

While I wake up and smile, let's see what else TV has to offer us for Monday, Nov. 3. All times are Eastern.

STREAMING
Crutch, 3:01 a.m., Paramount+. Series premiere. "In this spinoff of The Neighborhood, stubborn but lovable Frank Crutchfield (Tracy Morgan), nicknamed 'Crutch,' is the hilarious heart of this multi-generational story. His life in Harlem is disrupted when his highbrow son (Jermaine Fowler) and free-spirited daughter (Adrianna Mitchell) move back into the family home. Soon after, Crutch — with zero filter and his signature swagger — is the one everyone comes to lean on." Eight episodes available.

The Gone, 3:01 a.m., Acorn TV. Second season premiere. "When Irish journalist Aileen Ryan goes missing, Irish detective Theo Richter and Kiwi detective Diana Huia are compelled to remain in Mt Affinity, New Zealand, to lead the search." New episodes weekly through Monday, Dec. 8.

Murder Before Evensong, 3:01 a.m., Acorn TV. First season finale. "Keeping his gruesome discovery from Neil, Clement lays a trap for the killer but he is double-crossed. Faced with an ethical dilemma, Clement is forced to examine his own nature. It falls to his mother to try to pull him back from the brink of despair."

I Am Curious Johnny, 3:01 a.m., HBO Max. Special presentation. "A documentary about Johnny Pigozzi, a photographer, heir, and legendary collector who pioneered the celebrity selfie in the 1970s, built an elite social network, and assembled the world's best contemporary African art collection." Directed by Julien Temple, with appearances by Graydon Carter, Michael Douglas, Mick Jagger, Martha Stewart, Diane von Fürstenberg, and Jann Wenner.

In Waves and War, 3:01 a.m., Netflix. Special presentation. "In this documentary, three former Navy SEALs with post-combat trauma turn to an unexpected treatment for healing and hope — psychedelic-assisted therapy."

TALKIN' 'BOUT TALK

It's a show celebrating new book releases, with the original Golden Bachelor, Gerry Turner (Golden Years) and fiancée Lana Sutton, plus Queen of Brows Anastasia Soare (Raising Brows), CNN anchor Abby Phillip (A Dream Deferred: Jesse Jackson), and K-Pop Demon Hunters developer Justinian Huang (Lucky Seed).
