Of personal interest, Tennessee just executed a mentally incapacitated man. Bad enough. The man had a pacemaker (like I do). With no evidence to back them up they decided to leave the pacemaker on during the execution and claimed that he wouldn't feel pain and would be paralyzed (how they can know both is beyond me). He jerked his head and vocally complained about pain. I can explain that one. If my body tries to die the pacemaker will very painfully correct course. It doesn't take much to turn the pacemaker off. When I go in to be checked a ring of metal like a heavy donut is placed over and around the device. They don't turn mine off but could. In my case they run it through its paces to make sure that it works. I have had nightmares where I'm dying over and over and my pacemaker keeps shocking me back. That's what happened to this guy. Barbaric. [CBS]
