What's On Tonight (Friday): Stellar Distance Matters Nor to Love!

 

Lost in Starlight

The streamers blew their wad last Friday for Memorial Day weekend.  Consequently, they have no more wad left for today.  Apple has a recording of Bono's one-man show subtitled Stories of Surrender, which is an extremely Bono title.  Peacock has the streaming premiere of the children's body horror comedy, Dog Man (look up the origins of the Dog Man character - it's some Cronenberg shit).  So given the options, I'm going with the Netflix animated Korean film Lost in Starlight for Top Pick.  

Lost in Starlight tells the story of two young people in love until one of them decides to go to Mars.  I'm not clear from the trailer if the lady is an astronaut or signed on for some colonization thing, but her decision puts a cramp in their relationship.  The animation looks good and what few reviews I found are glowing.  Netflix has a good track record with animated films, so I might give this one a watch.
