Told you so. It's not just Harvard, the Ivies or even private schools that the Trump administration is harming. It's all of university education in the United States. By the time we're done foreign students will be allowed but none will want to come here. The damage will have been done and will be permanent. [Channel3000]

Utah lawmakers operated under the assumption that gender affirming care was harmful to kids and so had no qualms setting out to study the effects. Now they are in a bind because their own study proves them wrong. Let's see how long before this gets buried. [Associated Press]

This is a new take on white supremacist statue protests. The City of Louisville is set to restore a statue of Louis XVI that had been graffitied and damaged during the protests over the murder of Breanna Taylor. The art historian who chaired the city's public art commission has recommended that nothing be done. The statue was already damaged before the protests, The stone is not solid enough to stand outside. It has a fair value of $60,000 but would cost $600,000 to repair. Moreover spending that money is a symbol that Black Lives Don't Matter in Louisville. The chair said that the city can go ahead with the project but they will have to do it without him. [ARTnews]
