What's On Tonight (Monday): Gypsy Rose Goes to Court

Tonight's Top Pick is Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up, moving to a new timeslot on Lifetime. It was either that, or the first season finale of Extracted. Late April is kind of a dead zone.


While I look forward to more prestigious season finales and whatnot, let's see what else TV has to offer us for Monday, April 21.


STREAMING
Pangolin: Kulu's Journey, 3:01 a.m., Netflix. Special presentation. "A man discovers purpose helping rescue a trafficked baby pangolin in South Africa. He dedicates himself to rehabilitating the endangered animal for release into the wild."

The Brokenwood Mysteries, 3:01 a.m., Acorn TV. Eleventh season premiere. "The Ghost in You." "Shepherd and his team investigate when a devoted fan of the band Stolen Arrow falls to her death from a bell tower."

The Chelsea Detective, 3:01 a.m., Acorn TV. Third season finale. "For the Greater Good." "Climate scientist Archie Draper is found dead in the boot of a stolen car. With the owner of the car and the teenagers who stole it seemingly having no connection to Archie, the team is left puzzled. Archie had been preparing for an upcoming conference on climate change at the British Geographical Society, leaving Max and Layla to wonder if he was planning to say anything contentious. But surprising connections and a conspiracy of lies are gradually uncovered, all of which will lead them to a shocking final revelation."


TALKIN' 'BOUT TALK
CBS Mornings, 7 a.m., CBS. George Clooney (Good Night, and Good Luck on Broadway) and Jasmine Amy Rogers (BOOP! The Musical on Broadway).

Tamron Hall, times and stations vary. An episode on the "Manscape Landscape: Inside the Manosphere" includes Jalen Rose, who "opens up about the phone call he had with his father whom he never met," Jason Wilson (The Man the Moment Demands), Bond Benton, Ph.D, a 16-year-old Detroit native "who shares how he found himself drawn into the manosphere during the pandemic," and finally, professional counselor John Markette.

The Kelly Clarkson Show, times and stations vary. Guest Host Andy Cohen has Idina Menzel (Redwood on Broadway), comic Mae Martin, and JOHNNYSWIM.

All American, The CW. "No Role Modelz." "KJ grapples with a new discovery about the Jeremy family. He seeks comfort in Amina, who arranges a surprise visit from KJ's mother, Ava. Ava finally has answers to lingering questions in her marriage to Cassius. Meanwhile, Khalil gets an unexpected visit on his 18th birthday, and Amina has a tough choice to consider. Finally, a tragedy unearths secrets."

The Neighborhood, CBS. "Welcome to Your Own Medicine." "After Dave's disastrous attempt to dunk a basketball, Calvin takes care of his injured neighbor. Also, Gemma befriends a cool mom group while babysitting Daphne."

Poppa's House, 8:30 p.m., CBS. "Babygirl." "When Junior's sister, Natalie (Amora Wayans), visits and reveals her engagement, he insists that she make up with their father, whom she still blames for their parents' divorce." Season finale next week.

American Idol, ABC. Two hours. "Top 14 Reveal." "The top 14 are revealed as the finalists return to the stage with live performances from Hollywood."

The Voice, NBC. Two hours. "Road to Playoffs." "A look back at the season's best performances, plus a sneak peek at mega mentors Sheryl Crow and LeAnn Rimes."

Dr. Lee brings in a new, young doctor to help Tim with his big, bumpy nose. Karime is insecure about her birthmark that looks like a black eye."

America's Most Wanted, FOX. Third season premiere. "Exclusive: American Hero Killed." "Breaking down tough cases in the pursuit of justice with the help of an accomplished team of law enforcement experts."

History's Greatest Mysteries, History. "The Search for Atlantis." "It's history's most famous lost city; the island kingdom that's baffled explorers for centuries. Some say Atlantis is a myth, while others insist it was a very real place wiped out thousands of years ago."

Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up, 10 p.m., Lifetime. New timeslot. "I'll See You in Divorce Court." "As divorce day nears, Ryan messages Gypsy that he misses her. Rather than reply, she and Bri share the messages publicly in the hopes it will quiet some of the online hate directed at Gypsy. The negative public reaction is swift."

Water for Life, 10 p.m., PBS. Special presentation, 90 minutes. "Three Latin American Indigenous community leaders face death threats and murder to save their precious water resources from mining, industrial agriculture, and hydroelectric projects."

NCIS: Origins, 10 p.m., CBS. "Darlin', Don't Refrain." "After the shocking developments in the Sandman case, the team works with the FBI to investigate further. While Wheeler struggles to hold onto his job, his family reaches a crisis point."
