What's On Tonight (Thursday): Let's start with a Clean Slate

Courtesy The Hollywood Reporter/Amazon.

Tonight's Top Pick is Clean Slate, the Laverne Cox-George Wallace sitcom about a trans woman reuniting with her family in Alabama after 17 years. If that's not enough to make you watch, it was also produced by Norman Lear and costars Telma Hopkins.

I actually don't have any snark this week. Assuming it's not a total disaster, I could easily root for Clean Slate. Let's move onto the Thursday, Feb. 6 listings. All times are EST.

STREAMING
Clean Slate, 3:01 a.m., Amazon. Series premiere. "Harry (is) an old-school car wash owner in Alabama who has a lot of soul searching to do when the child he once called 'son' returns after 17 years as a proud trans woman named Desiree. Her homecoming brings together a hilarious cast of friends, coworkers, and love interests as Desiree and Harry try to get it right the second time around. The series explores universal themes of unconditional love, all through Norman Lear's signature boundary-pushing brand of comedy." Eight episodes available.

Among a band of militant staff and intimidating strangers, Luce meets Cam (Timothy Innes) and Daniel (Gijs Blom), two enigmatic yet strangely familiar figures she can't get out of her head.
