What's On Tonight (Monday): Through the Gates

Tonight's Top Pick is the premiere of Beyond the Gates, the first new network daytime soap in more than 25 years, and CBS' first new soap in nearly 40 years. I'm really rooting for this one, and might make an effort to watch it daily from the beginning.


While I look forward to tuning in tomorrow, let's see what else TV has to offer us for Monday, Feb. 24. All times are EST.

A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story, 3:01 a.m., Britbox. "Ruth is due to hang in three weeks and the campaign for reprieve gathers apace as she has a chance to confess the truth to save herself." Finale next week.

A Remarkable Place to Die, 3:01 a.m., Acorn TV. "Hard to Swallow." "While grappling with her own personal demons, Anais Mallory must solve a seemingly impossible locked-room murder."

Good Morning America/GMA3, 7 a.m./1 p.m., ABC. Susan Lucci (off-Broadway's My First Ex-Husband), Will Reeve (Will Reeve: Finding My Father), the "Generation Rising" series has Michael Strahan with "inspiring young changemakers making big differences in their community during Black History Month," and "Shop GMA" with Lori Bergamotto and timeless beauty products. Later, Bong Joon-ho and the cast of Mickey 17, Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., must-have beauty products in "Shop It Like It's Hot," and Mike Doman, a managing director of creative planning, as part of "Money Monday."

The View, 11 a.m., ABC. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn.

The Jennifer Hudson Show, times and stations vary. Tina Knowles celebrates the first anniversary of her hair care brand, Cécred. Also, 6-year-old rap sensation Savannah "Van Van" McConneaughey from Charlotte, North Carolina.

Beyond the Gates, 2 p.m., CBS. Series premiere. "The Duprees, a powerful and prestigious multi-generational family that is the very definition of Black royalty, live, love, work and play in a leafy Maryland suburb just outside of Washington D.C."
