What are the odds that anyone in the government is setting aside funds for unemployment or bread lines? Soup kitchens? We know there's no money for tent cities because the ones that already exist are being torn up. I'm finding it more difficult to keep things in line. This is not just the USA. We are now a malignant force everywhere now. We're demanding rare Earth minerals from Ukraine for what? We won't guarantee that we'll even work for their safety. That's up to Europe. So why do we get the rare Earth minerals? Because we want them and we will actively destroy Ukraine is we don't get them.
I learned geography and politics by watching the nightly news as a little kid. That was the era of Realpolitik. That was bad but at least made a sort of sense until we fell into the nonsense of Reagan's "cowboy" diplomacy. We're right back there. I really don't want to return to kindergarten and have to learn how to share again.
