What's On Tonight (Tuesday): Will we approve of For Your Approval?

Via Giphy.

Tonight's Top Pick is Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval, which is being billed as not only her last time performing stand up comedy, but her retirement as a person in show business. Now that I'm looking it up, she's 66, so congratulations on being able to retire near the beginning of your senior citizen years, Ellen!

While I continue acting as passive aggressive as Ms. "Kicked out of Show Business" does, let's see what else TV has to offer us for Tuesday, Sept. 24. All times are EST.

STREAMING
Out There: Crimes of the Paranormal, 12:01 a.m., Hulu. Series premiere. "You (are taken) inside eight true crime cases with shocking encounters with the paranormal world - through eyewitness accounts, expert interviews, and all-new investigations. In each case, amidst an agonizing search for answers, one rumor emerges from the pack: something inhuman is afoot. These in-depth investigations transport us to towns and cities across North America where we speak to individuals with eyewitness accounts and first-person details about the extraordinary, supernatural events that changed their lives forever." Eight episodes available.

Evolution of the Black Quarterback, 12:01 a.m., Amazon. Series premiere. "A three-part docuseries that follows retired NFL Pro Bowl quarterback Michael Vick as he travels across America to explore the history and impact of Black quarterbacks on and off the field. The series pays homage to the rich history, celebrates the progress, and sets its sights on the future of the QB position." Three episodes available.

Penelope, 3:01 a.m., Netflix. Series premiere. "Feeling out of place in society, Penelope (Megan Stott), 16, is drawn into the wilderness, where she forms a new life for herself." Eight episodes available.

We Will Dance Again, 3:01 a.m., Paramount+. Premiere. "A harrowing documentary about the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack on the Nova Music Festival, a celebration of music, peace and freedom that turned into a killing field as 400 festival-goers were slaughtered or abducted. Two dozen survivors tell unimaginable stories of courage, humanity and heroism illustrated by the actual cell phone footage they recorded while fleeing or hiding."

Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval, 3:01 a.m., Netflix. Premiere. "Ellen gets candid about fame, parallel parking and life since getting 'kicked out of show business.'"

Only Murders in the Building, 12:01 a.m., Hulu. "Adaptation." "The trio face off against a collection of individuals who deceive, manipulate, and threaten as second nature - a Hollywood cast & crew."
