What's On Tonight (Wednesday): Sunny, you smiled at me and really eased the pain

Sunny

All rise! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, July 31!

Our Top Pick tonight is Sunny (Apple TV+, midnight). This sci-fi black comedy thriller stars Rashida Jones as Suzie, whose husband and son recently vanished in a plane crash. She is gifted a robot, Sunny (Joanna Sotomura), made by her husband's employer, and soon she begins piecing together what happened to her family. It's a pretty uneven show attempting to balance with so many emotions and genre/vibes — the first episode is rough — but it is entertaining. And Rashida deserves to be a series star.

Elsewhere, Olympians Olympic, Sophia Bush Wants to Be a MillionaireBandits will slay dragons, Unsolved Mysteries has a 4th batch, Ark's electricals are damaged, and Lhakpa Sherpa returns to Everest.
