We brought back a few creatures from Mexico. This isn't close to the haul from our nets. Some of them are temporary residents and will eventually be delivered to Vienna, Austria. The octopus and jaguar will stay here along with an elephant, hummingbirds and a dragonfly. The dragonfly is meant to ward off mosquitoes. And then there is the giant, flaming two headed winged dragon.
Everywhere we went in Oaxaca there were signs of various quality- professional print to hand painted wall signs - for Claudia Scheinbaum who won the presidential election a couple months ago. I was very tired as we got back home so I wasn't paying much attention until I saw a giant digital billboard with a grinning Epstein next to an equally happy Trump. This was the heart of downtown on the freeway where even suburbanites drive through. The next billboard was about Project 2025. Harris has a big war chest and campaign infrastructure in place. I didn't see one pro-Trump sign. He's broke and stealing from other Republicans and his own campaign which is rudderless.
