What's On Tonight (Thursday): Bye-bye, Boys

Tonight's Top Pick is the fourth season finale of The Boys, another of those shows that's perpetually on my poop list for rarely if ever including episode summaries. Still, what was I gonna do, make the last night of the Republican National Convention my Top Pick? As if!



While I acknowledge that it is easier to write WOT posts with less summaries, let's see what TV has to offer us for Thursday, July 18. All times are EST.

The Boys, 12:01 a.m., Amazon. Fourth season finale. "Assassination Run."

My Spy: The Eternal City, 12:01 a.m., Amazon. Premiere. "JJ (Dave Bautista), a veteran CIA agent, reunites with his protégé Sophie (Chloe Coleman), in order to prevent a catastrophic nuclear scheme aimed at the Vatican, which disrupts a high school choir trip to Italy."

Cobra Kai, 3:01 a.m., Netflix. Sixth season premiere. Five episodes available?

Teen Torture, Inc., 3:01 a.m., Max. First season finale.

Those About to Die, 3:01 a.m., Peacock. Series premiere. "An epic drama set in the corrupt world of the spectacle-driven gladiatorial competition, exploring a side of ancient Rome never before told: the dirty business of entertaining the masses, giving the mob what they want most ... blood and sport. The series introduces an ensemble of characters from all corners of the Roman Empire who collide at the explosive intersection of sports, politics, and dynasties." Ten episodes available.

How I Caught My Killer, 12:01 a.m., Hulu. Second season premiere. The Responder, 3:01 a.m., Britbox. "Ticket to Ride" and "I'll Give You Chris." "Chris needs Franny to get him a day job, so he agrees to pick up a guy Franny is looking for called Vernon Hartley. However, he must convince Vernon's mother and grandmother to give him up." Later, "Chris has Franny's encro phone, but he can't decide whether to hand it over to the drug squad or return it to Franny. As he wavers, Franny hunts him throughout the city." Two episodes available.
