I despise the eating contest, but I do like a Nathan's.
At a summer barbecue, I'll generally go for a burger instead, but at a baseball game, hot dog is your best bet.

But the frankfurter comes from Germany originally. A seasoned sausage made of beef and pork, they came in their natural casing of sheep intestines, which was also used in other sausages.
