What's On Tonight (Friday): Not All Canadians are Nice...

Shoresy

Not much to choose from today so the third season of Shoresy on Hulu takes Top Pick pretty much by default.  I like the show, but I still haven't finished season two, nor have I watched the final season of Letterkenny.  I'm bad at finishing things.  I don't like when things I enjoy end.

TOP PICK

๐Ÿ’ Shoresy (Hulu, 12:01 AM) SEASON THREE. 'Shoresy and the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs compete in the National Senior Tournament, facing off against teams from across Canada as they continue their quest to never lose again.'

Elsewhere...

*Jessica Alba is the latest actor to try her hand at the John Wick thing in Netflix's Trigger Warning.  Actually, it might be more accurate to say she is going for a Jack Reacher thing seeing as her character is not an assassin but rather (ex?) military and the story takes place in what seems to be a small town.  The director only has a couple other films on her resume, and this appears to be her English language debut.  Anthony Michael Hall plays the baddie.  It's probably crap but it might be something better.  If nothing else, Alba is a dancer so I'm willing to bet she can handle the fight choreography.

*Max has a new limited series called Taylor Swift vs. Scooter Braun: Bad Blood.  Not sure why someone felt to add the "Bad Blood" part.  The part of the title before the colon works much better.  The curious thing about this one is I couldn't find a trailer.  You made a limited docu-series on Taylor Swift, possibly the biggest celebrity on the planet, and you didn't put together a trailer?  I hope someone was fired for this blunder.

PREMIERES

๐ŸŽต Taylor Swift vs. Scooter Braun: Bad Blood (Max, 3:01 AM) LIMITED SERIES. 'Explores the gripping feud between global pop-superstar Taylor Swift and music industry mogul Scooter Braun, delving into the $300 million dispute after Braun bought the rights to Swift's first six albums in June 2019.'

๐ŸŽฅ Kung Fu Panda 4 (Peacock, 3:01 AM) STREAMING PREMIERE. 'Po is tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace. That poses a couple of obvious problems. First, Po knows as much about spiritual leadership as he does about the paleo diet, and second, he needs to quickly find and train a new Dragon Warrior before he can assume his new lofty position. Even worse, there's been a recent sighting of a wicked, powerful sorceress, Chameleon, a tiny lizard who can shapeshift into any creature, large or small.'
