What's On Tonight (Thursday): Today we bury George Cooper ...

Via Giphy.

Tonight's Top Pick is the last episodes of Young Sheldon, leading off with the funeral for George Sr. and including a special appearance by Jim Parsons & Mayim Bialik. Regardless of how you feel about Young Sheldon, I do have respect the show for going for a grand finale.

While I remember that thanks to Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, the Sheldonverse isn't quite over yet, let's see what else TV has to offer us for Thursday, May 16. All times are EST.

STREAMING
The Beauty Queen Killer: 9 Days of Terror, 12:01 a.m., Hulu. Premiere. "Over 47 days in 1984, Christopher Wilder unleashed shocking violence on young women who were often aspiring models, earning him the moniker 'The Beauty Queen Killer.' This gripping three-part series ... weaves the stories of Wilder's victims with those of the survivors of his violence, including Tina Marie Risico, who at 16 years old was kidnapped by Wilder from a California mall. Now, 40 years after her abduction, Risico speaks out for the first time in decades, sharing what she says are details of surviving nine hellish days with Wilder, enduring unimaginable torture and terror before being forced to bear witness to her captor's brutal crimes." Three episodes available.

Bronx Zoo '90: Crime, Chaos and Baseball, 3:01 a.m., Peacock. Premiere. "The astonishing true story of the 1990 New York Yankees, chronicling the team at a crossroads in their storied history. The season went on record as one of the worst and was made even more infamous by the drama that ensued off the field. Based on a series of articles from New York Post columnist Joel Sherman, the docuseries covers team owner George Steinbrenner's removal from baseball for trying to buy information on Dave Winfield from a notorious gambler. Adding to the chaos, beloved team captain Don Mattingly was caught in a contentious contract dispute, a top free agent signee went missing, rookie Deion Sanders wavered between two sports and a controversial outfielder pursued a relationship with a local high school girl. Despite it all, the 1990 Yankees laid the groundwork for one of the greatest dynasties in sports history." Three episodes available.

Home Sweet Rome!, 3:01 a.m., Max. Premiere. "From Emmy-nominated Hannah Montana and That's So Raven creator Michael Poryes, this charming new series follows the story of Lucy (Kensington Tallman), a spirited teenager who leaves California behind to start a new life in Rome with her dad (Darrin Rose) and Italian pop sensation stepmom, Francesca (Eleonora Facchini)."

Discovery must hold off the Breen long enough for her to escape."
