Jeopardy!

GETTING HISTORICAL // BOOKS BY CHARACTERS // SPORTS MASCOT HISTORY // UNUSUAL NICKNAMES // THE MATERIAL WORLD // BEFORE & AFTER

DD1 - 600 - THE MATERIAL WORLD - This hard black wood from trees of the Diospyros genus shares its name with a magazine founded in 1945 (Jared doubled to 3,600.)

Double Jeopardy!

GITALONG, OLD PAINT // ENDS IN DOUBLE LETTERS // BOY GENIUS // BRIDGERS // BAKER // THE TALLEST ONE

DD2 - 1,600 - BOY GENIUS - Losing his brother Giulio 1915, he buried his grief in math & physics & soon wowed the admissions panel at college in Pisa (Ben added 4,000.)

Ben and Jared were close in scores entering DJ and both quickly found DDs, with Ben adding to his score while Jared lost everything. Meanwhile, Ike was able to stay within two-thirds of Ben entering FJ, with Ben at 15,200 vs. 10,400 for Ike and 3,600 for Jared.

Final Jeopardy!

ANCIENT DRAMA - From the 470s B.C., Aeschylus’ earliest surviving work has this title; he’d fought them repeatedly in the preceding years

Everyone was incorrect on FJ. Instead of making a small wager, Ike decided to bet it all, so Ben was able to escape with the victory and advance with 9,599.

Final scores: Jared 3,600, Ben 9,599, Ike 0.

Correct Qs: DD1 - What is ebony? DD2 - Who was Fermi? DD3 - What is distaff? FJ - What is "The Persians"?
