Cancellation League Update!

Boy, thank goodness it was a nice, quiet week, without any big cancellation or renewal news ...

In case you missed it, +250, Bob Hearts Abishola, for ending after five seasons. Abishola was grabbed by five contestants before its announcement, which I'm counting as part of a pre-announced cancellation, Anyway, the show is now ineligible to be grabbed by anyone else. Also, -500 each, The Irrational and Found, for getting renewed before May. Please check your scores.

Also, I'm making this promise that in all future versions of CL, it's only going to be Drop/Add Day. The concept of swapping in a series to replace the one that's been dropped was surprisingly controversial or confusing. Almost everyone interested in swapping either (a) named a series that was already on their ballot or (b) named a midseason series, not a fall one. I blame myself for not including a list of swap-eligible series, but really, I didn't expect it would be that confusing.

The new rule for 2024-2025 and beyond: You'll have the option to drop a show, but you won't get to replace it. You'll still be able to add in up to five new midseason series.
