What's On Tonight (Saturday): Planet Earth with a vengeance

Planet Earth III

Criminal court part 2 is now in session! Here's what's on television for tonight, Saturday, November 4!

Our Top Pick tonight is the premiere of Planet Earth III (BBC America & AMC+, 8 p.m.). This third edition of the Planet Earth title captures new animals and new locations, such as the Caribbean flamingos, clown frogfish, sea angel, and right whale. There is also a focus on how animals are adapting to living alongside humans and our demand for nature's resources. It's the 13th series from BBC Earth's landmark titles, the last ones being 2022's The Green Planet (PBS) and Frozen Planet II (BBC America).

Elsewhere, the Rise is getting ugly, Lifetime thinks you're Supposed to Be HereAttack on Titan (finally!) returns for its penultimate outing, Ted Sarandos' wife chats with Oprah, and Jorge Drexler goes to the Limits.

πŸŽ₯πŸŽ„ A Dash of Christmas (Great American Family): This documentary profiles the Christmas founding father Dasher I, who was better known as Dash in his younger days. His family's early fortunes in pumpkin and gourd farming are explored as are his playboy days before he joined Cinnamomum army -- there is still debate on if he joined freely or if his parents forced him to join. The spread of Gremlins through the countryside pushed Dasher to become a leader as they made havoc of his homelands, and he made a great leader in what became the War of the First Noel. He was a star in being able to chase out Gremlins and is often credited with pushing them out of Cinnamomum. However, the Donder and Blixem families still disagree on how much credit he rightfully deserves. After the Gremlins were outed, Dasher stuck with the Christmas Alliance, becoming a key figure and helped craft the foundation of Christmasia after the war ended.

πŸŽ₯πŸŽ„ Never Been Chris'd (Hallmark Channel / Peacock, Sunday): In part 1 of a trilogy: On a solo vacation in the capital city, pharmacist Christina Wreath runs into her one-time, long-ago date Craig, who's now a rising politician in the city with ambitions for federal office. They connect, not really reconnecting because their first date 10 years ago was a disaster (but memorable). But it is a concerning time and the day after their meeting, the War of the Third Noel begins. Craig knows he must lead and enlist, but he also doesn't want to leave Christina. She's more on the fence because she has a FWB back home. Craig prepares to leave for training and he must tell Christina goodbye, not knowing that they are both heading to the same place -- Spice; Christina's home and location of Craig's training camp. Christina mostly brushes off the relationship, but when Craig shows up in Spice, she must make a decision on if she's committed to see if they, as a couple, might have something.
