The Montreal Alouettes and Winnipeg Blue Bombers are set to play for the Grey Cup next weekend in Hamilton. Despite this being the fourth straight appearance for Winnipeg (CBC), Montreal will likely be favored after forcing nine turnovers and otherwise thoroughly dominating a Toronto Argonauts team that only lost two regular season games. The real highlight is that the organizers managed to get Green Day for the halftime show, and Carrie Underwood is performing at a tailgate party Friday. (CFL)
How are our resident Nevadans dealing with the lead-up to this weekends F1 event in Las Vegas? Between grossly inconveniencing tourists (WOT) and residents (Jalopnik), indifferent drivers (racingnews365.com) and not understanding some fundamental basics of desert climate (Jalopnik), its not shaping up to be a well received event. The last attempt to race in Las Vegas 40 years ago had its own litany of problems (The Athletic).
