1600 South Korean workers are set to come to work at an EV battery plant currently under construction in southwestern Ontario near Detroit. The parent company, NextStar, insists they're just temporary to get the plant up and running and train locals. It's not uncommon for staff from existing plants to come in and help with a startup, but 1600 seems a little high! (CBC)
This firing of the OpenAI CEO and resulting tiff with Microsoft is unquestionably about money, so its a little weird why no one will come out and say that and exactly how much money. (CBC)
