In late-breaking news, Israel has agreed to a four-day cease fire in exchange for the release of 50 hostages by Hamas. (CNN Live Update Feed)

A "non-partisan" committee investigating Alberta's COVID response made a bunch of recommendations that tick all the anti-vaxx/personal freedom boxes, and then the head of the committee turned around and e-mailed the report to all his friends in the federal Conservative party saying its cool if they want to weaponize the findings in the next election.  (CBC)

Alberta may want to take notes from the somewhat more serious COVID inquiry currently happening in the UK, which heard testimony that Boris Johnson and other EU leaders were incredibly ill-equipped to understand the severity of what they were dealing with (The Toronto Star Incognito Mode)

1600 South Korean workers are set to come to work at an EV battery plant currently under construction in southwestern Ontario near Detroit.  The parent company, NextStar, insists they're just temporary to get the plant up and running and train locals.  It's not uncommon for staff from existing plants to come in and help with a startup, but 1600 seems a little high! This firing of the OpenAI CEO and resulting tiff with Microsoft is unquestionably about money, so its a little weird why no one will come out and say that and exactly how much money.  (CBC)
