What's On Tonight (Monday): The Bachelorette (and/or ABC, and/or the producers) makes her choice

Tonight's Top Pick is the three-hour finale of The Bachelorette, because in these desperate and lovelorn times, we could all use a bloated farewell to the latest installment of a reality franchise that should have been killed off after the last writers strike.


While I keep my chin up with thoughts about the next season of Dancing with the Stars, let's see what else TV has to offer us for Monday, Aug. 21. All times are EST.

The Bachelorette, ABC. 20th season finale, 3 hours. "It's a crucial week in Fiji as Charity navigates the surprise of Aaron's return and introduces two men to her family. Jesse Palmer sits down with Charity and her final three men to watch the conclusion of her journey."

American Ninja Warrior, NBC. 2 hours. "Las Vegas Finals 1." "The national finals begin in Las Vegas as the remaining competitors move on to Stage 1 for their chance to win $1 million and become the next American Ninja Warrior."

Stars on Mars, FOX. "Distress Signal." "With only six celebronauts left, the mission on Mars is almost complete! Base Commanders are no more, and it's every man for themselves. The hab has detected a weak distress signal that all crew must investigate immediately. It's emanating from two separate locations, and they will need to split up into two teams to find the source of the distress signals. This rescue mission will test their knowledge and will earn someone another mission patch."

Son of a Critch, The CW. "Candyland." "Mark and Ritchie receive police protection after witnessing a grizzly crime on Halloween night. Fox grows tired of her brother's increasingly delinquent behavior."
