Dave |
Big money! Big money! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, May 10!
Our Top Pick tonight is the comedy series Dave (FXX, 10 p.m.). While the first episode started out as what you'd expect for a comedy series about the rapper known as Lil Dicky (stage name of Dave Burd), but it quickly transformed into a vastly different series about art, fame, mental health, love, race, and much more. Dave is a talented musician with artistic principals that makes him difficult to work with but easy to root for. Last week's episode, which included Anne Frank (and not related to the excellent miniseries A Small Light), was one of my favorite episodes of television so far this season.
Elsewhere, Jeopardy! hosts battle on Wheel, the Muppets make an album, ABC News spotlights the Game Show, Ian Brady and Cleopatra get docuseries treatments, PBS goes to Scandinavia, Flash is still missing, the Hollywood Sign is revealed, Ted Lasso is tested, Riverdale dances, and the Quantico Class of '09 is reunited.
