Schmigadoon! |
Hummmmmmmmm! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, April 12!
Our Top Pick tonight is the existential musical comedy Schmigadoon! (Apple TV+, midnight), though this season it's Schmicago as Josh (Keegan-Michael Key) and Melissa (Cecily Strong), in a new relationship crisis, couldn't re-find the fantasy land Schmigadoon. Schmicago is not ideal. The faces are familiar and the new songs slap, but this parody of dark, sexy musicals finds Josh accused of murder. Today's episode is probably already available because Apple TV+ likes to anarchically release stuff. But at least it provides episode titles and synopses days in advance! [*glares at HBO and Paramount+*]
Elsewhere, Sofia Black-D'Elia is still Drunk and Female but maybe not single, Costa Rica's hummingbirds tell all, Jeremy Renner makes Rennervations, Ted Lasso faces Manchester City, Netflix seeks the Boston Marathon bomber, Riverdale gets sex ed, Digman is hostage'd, and Dave meets Rick Ross.
