Someone from the Bradley Foundation, which used to be right around the corner from me, is pushing for elimination of polling places near college campuses, singling out Wisconsin because our State Supreme Court was flipped in the last election and Gen Z came out in force in favor of abortion rights and clean elections. The GOP is also hoping to flip the Virginia legislature and then cut 45 days of early voting. [Stevens Point Journal]

Senator Dick Durban, head of the Judiciary committee has asked for Justice Roberts or another justice of Robert's choice to testify before a committee hearing. This is all about Justice Thomas of course. Durban has no subpoena power because of the absence of Diane Feinstein. [CNN]

The full audio the Oklahoma sheriff threatening journalists, the DA and talking about lynching black people among other horrific things, has been released. The governor and many others have called for him to resign and so far he has refused. [Oklahoman]

The judge in the E. Jean Carroll civil rape and defamation case slapped Trump pretty good today. Trump can choose not to attend but there will be no jury instructions with his weak excuse. The judge pointed out that he will be attending a campaign rally on the third day of the trial in far less secure conditions than the Federal Courthouse. [Guardian]
