What's On Tonight (Wednesday): This sorcerer whips his hair back and forth

Willow

Ducks! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, November 30!

Our Top Pick tonight is the premiere of the adventure series Willow (Disney+, 3 a.m.). The show is a sequel to the 1988 movie of the same name about young farmer and aspiring sorcerer Willow Ufgood (Warwick Davis) protecting a baby and overthrowing an evil queen. (The movie has promise but never delivers.) 20 years later, the queen's granddaughter (Ruby Cruz) is searching for her twin. Sorcerer Willow can help. Probably.

Elsewhere, there's illness at Elementary, medical school is tough for a Goldberg, Australia is Irreverent, Sylvester splinters from StargirlMighty Ducks battle Canadians, the North Pole has a new Santa, The Conners are movin' on up, Reginald isn't ready for Assessment, and the Hip Hop Family has a wedding.

(All times are Eastern. All listings are new unless otherwise stated. For more listings, visit The Futon Critic or Zap2it.)

πŸ“Ί Young Justice (HBO Max, now): Before its DCU/HBO Max revival, this incredibly well-done superhero animated series aired on Cartoon Network. It follows the lives of teenage superheroes and sidekicks as they build a Justice League junior-esque team to fight the rising number of supervillains. Don't expect a bunch of kid-friendlyness with this show. The storylines can get quite complex and at times dark in subject matter. I find it one of the most intelligent animated shows.
