What's On Tonight (Wednesday): Plants, they're just like animals

The Green Planet

Say, would someone mind checking the ratings! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, August 3!

Our Top Pick tonight is finale of the nature docuseries The Green Planet (PBS). This exceptional Planet Earth for plants series is spectacular, giving us a view of plants as truly living things. We see how they've evolved to survive and reproduce and work with and against wildlife. The time lapse camerawork is phenomenal. If you watched the Independent Lens film Aware earlier this year, this docuseries continues to make a good case that some plants might well have a sense of self. Slime certainly seems to, so why not plants.

Elsewhere, Wellingtonians worships goats, the Dogs are back on the Reservation, Disney+ goes to infinity — and beyond, Woodstock '99 is a clusterfuck, and a final Crank is pulled.

With the help of Max Headroom, a computer reconstruction of himself, Carter takes on the boob tube oligarchy.
