What's On Tonight (Wednesday): Love down by the River

Virgin River

Sportsballs awards! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, July 20!

Our Top Pick tonight is the gentle romance drama Virgin River (Netflix, 3 a.m.). The soapy series, which has proven somewhat popular for its streamer, rolls out its fourth season about the lives of a small Northern California town. There's the nurse (Alexandra Breckenridge), the bartender (Martin Henderson), the mayor (Annette O'Toole), the doctor (Tim Matheson), the chef (Colin Lawrence), and more. For many people, I figure this show is off your radar. It comes off as Netflix's attempt at a Hallmark-esque relationship/community drama.

Elsewhere, Wellington has a fatberg problem, Grown-ish welcomes the next generation, athletes get ESPYs, the Bears go to Unica, and Ron Funches Cranks.
