Colosseum |
At my signal, unleash hell! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, July 24!
Our Top Pick tonight is the docudrama show Colosseum (History, 9 p.m.). Like History's other historical limited series (Washington, Theodore Roosevelt, etc.), the show is a mix of commentary from historians and recreations of the era. Don't expect a mega-budget production values and prestige TV scripts. They serve as helping us visualize what the historians are explaining. Each episode tells a piece of history about the Roman Empire by way of what was happening in the Colosseum.
