Finland wants to join NATO NOW and most likely will get a rushed acceptance. Finland borders Russia and Russia has always coveted Finland. Russia has a small coast on the Baltic Sea which leads to the Atlantic. Finland has an awful lot of coast. Annexation would also push Russia into Scandinavia and provide a closer point of opposition to Germany and the UK. Finland and Sweden both began talking to NATO as soon as Putin started putting his troops around Ukraine. Expect Sweden to join NATO soon. [NBC]

The House committee on the insurrection has subpoenaed five House Representatives including Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Gym Jordan. The odds of any of them showing up without a fight is about the same as Jordan reporting the sexual assault of wrestlers in the OSU locker room. [CBS]

The committee won't get everything they asked for as the Archives have determined that some of the documents don't fit the parameters of what they've been asked for. [CNN]
