Our top pick is Annie Live!, premiering on NBC. I hope you’ll all join me on the day thread for live commentary on something that will either be amazing or awful. Just to start things off, I’ll say that I think it’s stupid to inflate a Broadway-length show (roughly two hours) into a three-hour TV broadcast.

Baking It, 3:01 a.m., Peacock. Premiere. Maya Rudolph and Andy Samberg co-host and co-executive produce (with co-creator Amy Poehler) this series that “celebrates everything we love about the holidays: friends, family, incredible food — and grandmothers pointing out everything we do wrong in the kitchen.” Six episodes available.
Santa Inc., 3:01 a.m., HBO Max. Premiere. Candy Smalls (voice of Sarah Silverman), the North Pole’s highest-ranking elf, makes a big to be the first female Santa when the big guy (voice of Seth Rogan) goes to work for Amazon.
