It took three hours for the Louisville Police Merit Board to decide that it was correct to fire Myles Cosgrove for shooting 16 bullets into the apartment including the murder of Brianna Taylor. the vote was 5-2. All officers on the board upheld the termination. The votes against were civilians which makes me wonder where they get them. [WDRB]
Derek Chauvin, who is serving time for murdering George Floyd, pled guilty to civil rights violations in a plea bargain. He's expected to serve 25 years concurrent with his Minnesota sentence, but in Federal prison. He could get out in his lifetime - which is likely to be longer in a prison outside of Minnesota. Not that he'll be any more popular than Josh Duggar. [Minneapolis Star Tribune]

And I've run out of white police officers who have killed people of color. That only means that I stopped digging because unfortunately there's always more. [Minnesota Star Tribune]
