What’s On Tonight (Thursday): It’s Football Night in America once more

via Giphy

Tonight’s Top Pick is the Dallas Cowboys-Tampa Bay Buccaneers game, live from Florida with NBC’s pre-show coverage at 7 p.m. EST and the actual game at approximately 8:20 p.m. We’re getting closer to the 2021-2022 fall season, even if Thursday night programs are coming back staggered.

Let’s see what else TV has to offer us for Thursday, Sept. 9. All times are EST.

STREAMING

More Than An Athlete, 3:01 a.m., ESPN+. Second season premiere. A four-part look at Michael Strahan’s life, career “and evolution into a media personality and entrepreneur.”

All the Queen’s Men, 3:01 a.m. BET+. Series premiere. The latest from Tyler Perry Studios, a drama about Marilyn “Madam” DeVille (Eva Marcille) and her tenuous reign over “this dangerous and sexy society … the sensuous world of exotic dancing. (Will it) cost Madam her queendom and potentially her life?” Ten episodes available.

Kin, 3:01 a.m., AMC+. Series premiere. The Kinsellas, a small but tight-knit crime family, (are) embroiled in a war against a powerful drug kingpin, Eamon Cunningham (Ciarán Hinds). A boy is killed and his family embark on a gangland war with an international cartel — a war that is impossible to win.”

American Ninja Warrior Junior, 3:01 a.m., Peacock. Third season premiere. “With the minimum age on the currently-running 13th season of American Ninja Warrior now lowered to 15 years old, and American Ninja Warrior Junior spotlighting contestants ages 9-14, there is now a direct pipeline between the two series …” What could possibly go wrong? Two episodes available.

Top Chef Family Style, 3:01 a.m., Peacock. Series premiere. Fifteen  exceptionally talented culinary prodigies from across the nation will compete with an adult family member … (sharpening) their knives and battle it out to prove that their culinary skills are aged to perfection.” Two episodes available.

Well Done With Sebastian Maniscalco, 3:01 a.m., Discovery+. Season finale. “The Funny Thing About Sushi.”

Behind the Music, 3:01 a.m., Paramount+. Season finale. Fat Joe, who I believe is making his Behind the Music debut.

Titans, 3:01 a.m., HBO Max.

The Other Two, 3:01 a.m., HBO Max. “Chase Gets Baptized” and “Pat Becomes #1 in Daytime.” Two episodes available.

The Sweet Life: Los Angeles Reunion Special, 3:01 a.m., HBO Max.

Star Trek: Lower Decks, 3:01 a.m., Paramount+. “An Embarrassment of Dooplers.”

Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem, 3:01 a.m., Peacock. I have to give DOOL credit. They were able to make a series out of a personal appearance skit-level premise. “Beloved residents of Salem find themselves embroiled in a mystery involving the Alamainian Peacock’s stolen jewels, which in the wrong hands could cause dire consequences for the world.”

Frogger, 3:01 a.m., Peacock. Series premiere. Damon Wayans Jr. and Kyle Brandt (formerly of Days of Our Lives) co-host this “fierce and ridiculously fun competition … Contestants from across the country will test their talent in a competition requiring skill, strength, strategy and problem-solving smarts. Who will have what it takes to be America's finest Frogger and jump away with $100,000?” Three episodes available.

The 26th Street Garage: The FBI’s Untold Story of 9/11, 3:01 a.m., Paramount+. “The untold story of how, in the desperate moments after the 9/11 attacks, the FBI must evacuate its New York headquarters - and transform its parking garage into the new command center.”

The Women and the Murderer, 3:01 a.m., Netflix. “The capture of serial killer Guy Georges through the tireless work of two women — a police chief and a victim's mother.”

Blood Brothers: Malcolm X & Muhammad Ali, 3:01 a.m., Netflix. “From a chance meeting to a tragic fallout, Malcolm X and Muhammad Ali's extraordinary bond cracks under the weight of distrust and shifting ideals.”
