Home Economics |
Yo! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, May 5!
The Top Pick is ABC's freshman comedy Home Economics. The ensemble comedy is about three really close siblings who are each in different economic classes. The uber-diverse cast has some great chemistry, and the show has a good grasp on general strengths. However, the narrative device of eldest child Topher Grace writing a book about the extended family's misadventures in parenting and family dynamics doesn't work. It doesn't ruin the show, just makes it feeble at times. I really enjoy Sasheer Zamata's character.
Elsewhere, Feral kitties are a problem in Hawaii, Adam Goldberg has some Pop-Pop time, wild bison arrive in Wild Minnesota, children say Darndest Things, Humans get docuseries treatment, there's a shooting in Chinatown, Nancy Drew has a birthday, and the George Floyd video becomes one of the Million Things.
