That's hot! Here's what's on television for tonight, Saturday, May 8!

Tonight's Top Pick is the Toonami series Fire Force, which wraps up its second season tonight. The show takes place in a reality where certain people have the power of fire. Therefore, a superhuman firefighter squad is assembled to stop the Infernal and others with the power of fire who don't use it for good. The season will end with some twists, though a third season has yet to be formally announced.

Elsewhere, a billionaire hosts SNL, Final Space deals with the fallout of a death, Meerkats!, Drama Club faces the football team, Side Hustlers search for a rat, Selena Gomez hosts a concert to support the vaccine, My Hero Academia is back, and The Promised Neverland goes to an abandoned temple.

Meet the Meerkats (Discovery+, 3 a.m.): SERIES PREMIERE. Meet a cast of distinct characters and personalities and be submerged into the world of meerkats while following the journey of three rehabilitated mobs, most of whom were snatched from the wild as pups. It is narrated by Rob Delaney. This show is most likely a competition to BBC America, which will be airing the Meerkat Manor revival next month.

Riviera (Ovation, 7 p.m.): SEASON PREMIERE. Georgina sets her sights on getting away with murder, but a sinister message reveals someone knows her secret.

🎥 Greenland (HBO, 8 p.m.): Finally! An origin story about Greenland and how it got its name. Oh, that is definitely not correct. "A family struggles for survival in the face of a cataclysmic natural disaster."✔️

Homegrown (DIY, 8 p.m.): SPECIAL? "Jamila helps the Hartman family renovate their backyard into a beautiful, functioning garden with a chicken coop and banana plants that remind the homeowner of her homeland."

📺 Mannix (Decades, 8 p.m.): Spend the weekend with a private eye and his cool theme song! "The story of a murder plot from a young girl seems to be the truth when she becomes the victim of a hit and run attempt." I picked this particular episode because it is title "Bang, Bang, You're Dead," which is a great episode title.

🎥 Memories of a Murder (Lifetime, 8 p.m.): A murderabilia shop clerk uncovers her family's own dark history while trying to sell souvenirs from an unsolved crime. Murderabilia is a real thing?! Humans deserve bad things.

Side Hustle (Nickelodeon, 8 p.m.): Lex, Presley, and Munchy get hired by a fancy French restaurant to be off-the-books rat exterminators. There's a party for the mayor, and the kids have to quickly and quietly catch a rat. I hope this is just like Mouse Hunt.

🎥 Svengoolie: From Hell It Came (MeTV, 8 p.m.): "A wrongfully accused South Seas prince is executed, and returns as a walking tree stump." [*checks notes*] Yep. That's the right synopsis.

Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World (ABC / CBS, 8 p.m. & Fox, 11 p.m.): SPECIAL. Selena Gomez hosts this event aiming to inspire vaccine confidence and help get the COVID-19 vaccines to everyone. Performers include Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, J Balvin and H.E.R.

The Promised Neverland (Adult Swim, 1:30 a.m.): Emma and the others manage to survive the attack on the shelter and settle in an abandoned temple with a limited supply of food.

📺 The Rookies (Heroes & Icons, 2 a.m.): A teenaged friend of Willie's is shot at while parking Willie's patrol car. The car is engulfed in flames. It is later revealed that Willie's friend died from a gunshot, not the fire, and Willie is accused of shooting his friend in a mercy killing, jeopardizing his job and his friendship with the boy's family.
