I'm looking forward to the second impeachment trial this week. Arguments are scheduled to begin Tuesday. I don't expect a conviction because the Republican Party is broken in a way that it was not broken under Nixon. There's no way back to reality for them after surrendering to a corrupt reality TV star. What I do expect is for all the dirty laundry to be aired in public and to have most of the Republican Senators join their Republican Representatives on record in favor of a violent coup against themselves.
