What's On Tonight (Saturday): TV movie! Animation! Guest acting! Editing! Costumes! It's the creative Emmys!

2020 Creative Arts Emmy Awards

Good pre-Emmy-but-still-Emmy day! Tonight, we (or I do anyway) celebrate the best of the specialty crafts in the television industry with the Creative Arts Emmys. But unlike recent years when the ceremony, which honors the cinematographers, stunt coordinators, set decorators, sound mixers, special effects artists, casting directors, and many more, was two nights, this year it was spread out over five nights. Honestly, I liked the remote format because it was easy and undemanding watching on me, the viewer, and only lasted about 50 minutes a night. Tonight has no awards theme. It is a hodge podge of awards in several categories, but includes some of the Creative Arts biggest title, including television movie, animated program, and guest actors as well as key indicators for Sunday's show with a couple editing and casting categories. I'm paying particular attention to contemporary costuming (go Black-ish!), period hairstyling (go Pose!) and main title design (go Abstract!). See coverage of the past four nights here.

Elsewhere, Dallas and Robo go on their last adventures, Elisabeth Moss has issues with a man, the Greens visit the library, Kolchak finds a zombie, and Pit Bulls & Parolees wraps its season.

And the Emmy goes to... what's on television for tonight, Saturday, September 19!
