Welcome to the Weekend in Pop Culture! Let's examine what's coming out in theaters this weekend...
What was supposed to come out this weekend was "The French Dispatch," the latest in Wes Anderson's whimsygasms; "Jungle Cruise," which had better use "Skipper Dan" for the end credits; and "Come Play," a horror movie where a monster targets a family through their mobile devices (no, I'm not kidding, that's the premise). "Come Play" is now scheduled for October, and "Jungle Cruise" is now set for next July; "Dispatch" is now TBA.
